Momentum Therapies Understand how to improve your quality of life.
We are an osteopathic clinic who believe in working with our patients to assist in their journey to optimal health by using hands-on treatment techniques, education and rehabilitation.
We provide a space where you will feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment you step through the door to the end of your consultation.
Which treatment is right for you?
You are unique, so is your treatment.
We use a diverse range of techniques to deliver the best result for your health goals.
Osteopathy
We perform an assessment of your symptoms and the related areas of the body. Assessment can include muscles, joints, nerves, ligaments or tendons, but can also include any of the 11 systems which make up our bodies, such as your gastrointestinal, cardiovascular or respiratory systems.
All treatments are based on assessment findings and are specific to you.
The conditions most commonly treated by Osteopaths include:
• Headaches and migranes
• Sports injuries
• Nerve compression
• Pregnancy-related discomfort
• Tendon and ligaments conditions
• Improving athletic performance
• Pre/post surgery
• Rehabilitation
• Overuse injuries
Shockwave can help you with:
• Muscle strains
• Ligament sprains
• Bursitis
• Calcific tendons
• Chronic pain conditions
• Athletic performance
• Osteoarthritis
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment option that helps alleviate pain and encourage healing. It works by delivering high-frequency sound waves to the affected area. It’s a great alternative for those who are looking for a drug-free solution for pain relief.

Any question about our consultation?
Our consultation and treatment processes are straightforward, and we will guide you through every step, but if you’d like some more information, here are some frequently asked questions.
No, you do not need a referral from your GP to see an osteopath. You are able to make an appointment as a private patient.
If you have any diagnostic reports (x-ray, CT scan, ultrasound and/or MRI) or any test results for your injury or condition, please bring them along to your initial appointment. Alternatively, you can email them to the clinic prior to your initial appointment.
If required, please also bring your health insurance card, GP referral, Medicare card, DVA card and referral, or WorkCover QLD medical certificate.
It’s best to wear something loose and comfortable to your appointment, e.g. loose t-shirt, pants or shorts, activewear, or bring loose clothing with you to change into at the appointment. Depending on which region is being assessed and treated, you may be asked to partially remove some clothing. If you would prefer to stay in your clothing, that is perfectly fine too. Please wear underwear and deodorant to your appointment.
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment.
All patients under 16 require a parent or guardian present at their appointment.
Consultations involve comprehensive and integrative assessments to identify the underlying causes of your musculoskeletal condition, thus creating an efficient and effective treatment specific to you.
The initial treatment entails a thorough health history, assessment of the primary complaint and its contributing factors, followed by treatment to reduce or manage pain symptoms and regain mobility.
Follow-up consultations continue the individualised treatment plan of symptom relief and improving dysfunctional movement patterns, established in the initial consultation. These patterns contribute to the underlying causes of the primary complaint.
If your condition requires assessment and treatment of painful or tender areas, your osteopath will aim to make you as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, some conditions can cause short-term discomfort during assessment and treatment.
Symptom exacerbation, such as transient soreness, may occur for 24-48 hours after treatment and is considered a normal, temporary outcome of the treatment process. If the discomfort persists or increases significantly, contact the clinic to discuss your concerns.
